About the vintage

Blue Frankish

A blue grape variety of Austro-Hungarian origin, its wine is usually medium-bodied, with pronounced acidity, and a cherry-sour taste. For a long time it was confused with Gamay, and sometimes with Pinot Noir, hence its nickname referring to Burgundy. It is currently our most widely cultivated grape variety, grown on a little over seven thousand hectares.
