Fischer Syrah 2020

Fischer Syrah 2020 is a high-quality, dry red wine made from Syrah grapes from our best vineyards. This wine has an alcohol content of 13.0% and an acidity of 4.3 g/l and a residual sugar of 4.2 g/l. The wine was aged in steel tanks to preserve its freshness and fruitiness.

Color and Fragrance: It is characterized by a dark ruby red color, complemented by subtle violet reflections. Its aroma is dominated by rich fruity notes, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, complemented by delicate spicy and peppery aromas.

Taste and Texture: On the palate, dark berries like black cherries and plums blend harmoniously with spicy notes. The wine has a medium body, velvety tannins, and a long, elegant finish.

Food pairing: It goes well with traditional Hungarian dishes, such as boiled beef with horseradish or roasted venison in red wine sauce. It can also be a great choice for grilled meats and spicy dishes.

About the vintage

Syrah (Shiraz)

It is a world variety, but contrary to popular legend, it is not of Middle Eastern origin (Persian, supposedly based on the Iranian city of Shiraz), but of southern French origin, its homeland is the Rhône Valley (more precisely, the area around Isère and Grenoble). It typically produces tannin-rich, structured wines, with aromas reminiscent of black berries and pepper, but there are also numerous examples of both leaner (Old World) and thicker, fuller (New World). It is grown on 270 hectares in Hungary.
