Color and Fragrance: Deep, characteristic of the variety, the scent of cut grass, spiced with elderberry and green pepper. Alongside the aroma, there is a very ripe, fiery flavour mediated by the volcanic soil.
Taste and Texture: Not a classic light wine. The palate is dominated by freshly cut grass, elderberry and green pepper, complemented by ripe, fiery notes of volcanic soil. The wine is medium-bodied, with lively acids and a long, elegant finish.
Food pairing: It goes excellently with salads, peppery and spicy dishes, but we recommend it most with fish, especially salmon and rosemary trout.

About the vintage
Sauvignon blanc
It is a world variety native to the Loire Valley (probably born from a spontaneous cross between the Jura Savagnin and an unknown grape). Its typically semi-aromatic, elderberry, nettle, and more ripe peach and passion fruit flavors make it widely popular. Since the 1980s, it has become a global success as the main variety of New Zealand, but in addition to its traditional French examples, excellent wines are also made in Austria and Styria, and 950 hectares of it are grown in Hungary.
