About the vintage
Sauvignon blanc
It is a world variety native to the Loire Valley (probably born from a spontaneous cross between the Jura Savagnin and an unknown grape). Its typically semi-aromatic, elderberry, nettle, and more ripe peach and passion fruit flavors make it widely popular. Since the 1980s, it has become a global success as the main variety of New Zealand, but in addition to its traditional French examples, excellent wines are also made in Austria and Styria, and 950 hectares of it are grown in Hungary.
