Fischer Cabernet Franc 2021
Fischer Cabernet Franc is a high-quality, dry red wine made from Cabernet Franc grapes from our best vineyards. This wine has an alcohol content of 14.0% and has a special character thanks to the volcanic subsoil of Mount St. George.
Color and Fragrance: It is characterized by a ruby and garnet red color, and its aroma is rich, refined, and dominated by ripe fruit notes, such as blackcurrant and blackberry, complemented by delicate spicy and cocoa aromas.
Taste and Texture: On the palate, dark berries like black cherries and plums blend harmoniously with spicy notes. The wine has a medium body, velvety tannins, and a long, elegant finish.
Food pairing: It goes perfectly with steaks, heartier stews, steak tartare, but we recommend it most with a good Boeuf bourguignon.

About the vintage
It is a difficult vintage to judge yet, where the harvest was done early and the heavy summer rains did not damage the crop, and excellent wines may even be produced. In general, however, the rainy autumn did not facilitate an optimal harvest.
Cabernet franc
An important and old Bordeaux variety. It usually produces a paler, lighter, softer and more fragrant wine than Cabernet Sauvignon, and is also prone to greenish, vegetal tones. According to recent research, it is of Basque origin, and is the ancestor of Cabernet Sauvignon (one of its "parents", along with Sauvignon Blanc). It is grown on 1,300 hectares in Mo.
