About the vintage

Tramini

It is probably a mutation of the less aromatic, French-origin red Traminer (Savagnin Rose) that developed in German territory. Today it is one of the most important varieties in Alsace (it accounts for almost one-fifth of the plantations there), its domestic production area is 700 hectares; mostly in the Mátra and Kunság regions, but with the exception of Tokaj, it can also be found in all our wine regions, e.g. Somló. Its characteristically rosy, tropical fruity, low-acid but high-alcohol wine is easily recognizable.
